Little Brother's Back Yard Wedding

What do you do when your little brother texts you and says, "What are you doing June 8th? Cuz Dena and I are getting married."  Well this big sister freaked out at first to be honest!! My 1 year wedding anniversary id June 9th!! My hubby just started a new job and can't take off!!! The wedding is in Houston, TX!!!  Then after I got my head on straight, I started making plans and getting ready from a trip across the country!!

Dena & Pacier (that's my brother!) have been together for almost 2 years. Dena was a brides maid at my wedding last June.  They decided to get married in their back yard 2 weeks after he proposed!! Not much for planning time, but everything came together wonderfully.  In a super cute little back yard wedding.  Now because Dena had hired a photographer friend to shoot the prep and ceremony I tried to stay outta the way as much as possible.

But you know I had to take a few, right!?

It was a very family oriented ceremony.  Dena has 3 children, her daughters stood with her as maid of honor and brides maid & her best friends little girl was the flower girl.  Pacier had her son as groomsman and his one of his best buddies since grade school as best man.  The best man's youngest son was the ring bearer.

They had one of our dad's best friends play Stairway to Heaven as the wedding party walked in.

Now the other photography left after the ceremony.  Which meant it was my time to shine!!  The reception was mine!!

After brisket cooked by the best man, and a cake cutting no body there is likely to forget.  Even I was wearing cake after!!

We all headed out to dance the night away!

The kids chose a song to dance with the couple called If I Was A Zombie by Stephanie Mabey.  It was super cute. Here's the link, if you are a zombie fan, check it out!!

As you can tell it was a very fun night.

Welcome to the Reist Clan, Dena!!  Congratulations to Dena and Pacier!!  Love you both!!

I'm still here!!

Sorry I haven't posted on here in a while.  It has been a busy couple of months.  I've been recovering from surgery, going to physical therapy, running back and forth to Kansas for doctor appointments, and dealing with life in general.  You know me tho, if I can lift my camera, I'm going to!

To start off I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Senior Rock Star rep/spokes model Whitney!

Whitney is a Senior of 2014 and she rocked her session like a true model.  Can't wait to have her in front of my camera again this summer/fall.

Thi school year is almost over, I am booking Senior Sessions for spring and summer.  Book your session ahead of time so you have time to prepare for it.  Contact me to book and tell me you saw this blog post and get 15% OFF your session!

You may remember Tiffany from my last blog post.  This is how I know it's been a while since I posted!! Look at how much little Maddison has grown in that tummy!!

Can't wait for this precious one to be here!! I know that Tiffany can't wait either.  ;)

While I was in Kansas this last trip I did a shoot with one of my besties and her girls.

You wouldn't know it by the sleeveless shirts and capris, but we were all shivering with goosebumps! The wind was so cold that day!!

I've got lots more exciting stuff coming up in the near future, so keep watching here and go like my Facebook pageto keep up with all my sneak peeks, session specials, and what ever else I decide to do on a whim.  ;)

See y'all soon.
Much love, CameraMonster

September got away from me, but look what I did!!

Sara and Gage  225 Contest Winners!!
Thank you Sara and Gage for a fun morning!! Hope that you love your photos!!!

How did I let September sneak by me with out posting a blog?!?!  I guess I have just been that busy.  Shooting seniors, contest winners, and secret birthday presents for a loved one that is far away from his family.... also making the very long drive back and forth to Kansas to see my parents and grandma!!
Thank you everyone for making September amazing and busy for me, I am looking foward to October and all the upcoming holidays!  I will be running specials for the holidays, so be sure to go over and "like" www.facebook.com/katinareistphotography so that you don't miss them!

Wanna see what I did in September?  Ofcourse you do!! That's why you are here!!
Meet Chris, Campbell County High School Senior! He is an artist and told me he was very nervous about his shoot.  You can not tell from him photos tho!

This is Jace, Campbell County High School senior.  He is envolved in football and wrestling, a very active young man!! He was alot of fun, and I loved how envolved his mom was with his shoot!!

Here's Jace again, with his cousin, and senior classmate, Morgan.  They did parts of their senior session together for grandma!!

Morgan was a hoot!  He fixed his hair more then any girl I've ever shot, and I thought it was hard to keep little kids attention when there was playground equipment and water around, Morgan gave them a run for their money!

Sara and Gage were contest winners. They got their shoot at no charge.  She won a gift certifate for a family session.

And a secret boudior session for a husband far away from home! Can't wait to hear about the look on his face!!
Last but not least at all, it's offical!! I am a photographer for Shoots For a Cure!! So excited to be involved in this, can't even begin to tell you.  Go to their website to learn more about SFAC.

Senior Spokes Model

Everyone knows I had been looking for a senior spokes model all summer long... I had chatted with a few mom's and even an aunt... but nothing seemed to be happening with anybody to my major frustration! Then I got a message from Jenny, telling me about her daughter, Brittini.

I learned that Brittini drove a race car, had been in track, and was gonna be super picky about her pictures!!  (Aren't all girls, teenage and otherwise?!)  Soon after I asked Brittini to be my spokes model.
The first time Brittini and I met to was sign contracts, I met Jenny, who I found out that day was actually step mom, Jason, her dad, and Sally. Sally is Brittini's race car, or to quote her
"She's my baby..."

I would like to thank Brittini for rocking her shoot like the star she is!!!

Have an amazing senior year Brittini!!!

And if you are from the Gillette, Wy area, head out to the Gillette Thunder SpeedWay to watch Brittini race!!!
